New Year Blessing, Kiri Ahara Buddha Puja & Initiating Bodhigharaya construction
A blessing ceremony for the Sinhala-Hindu New Year and special Kiri Ahara Pujawa for the commencement of new “Bodhigharaya” will be held at the temple premises
on 13th April at 9.00 am.
Please bring a plate of food ( Kiri Ahara, Kavili, etc..) for the Buddha puja and share with the congregation.
The programme
- 9.00 am Preparing Kiri Ahara of Buddha Puja
- 9.30 am Offering Buddha puja & Vandanawa
- 10.30 am Commencement of New “Bodhigharaya” construction
- 11.15 am Dana for the Sangha and refreshment for the congregation
- 12.15 pm Cleaning & End of the programme
As the only “Bodhi Tree” on the South Island, the Bodhinwahanse at the Samadhi Buddhist Vihara is a precious blessing for all of us. Creating a suitable structure for the “Bodhinwahanse”, is an opportunity to accumulate merits and enhance wisdom and spirituality.
